Charts in Knarr allow you to visualize your data for easier comparison. Create bar charts, line charts, or scatter plots by either clicking the icon in the top toolbar or by right-clicking the canvas > add object, as seen below.
By default, when you add a chart to the canvas and select a dimension, Knarr will show you a distribution of the data, or count(1), across your selected dimension.
You can change this expression by deleting count(1) and replacing it with your own expression. Knarr supports multiple types of aggregation functions that you can use in combination with each other.
All charts allow you to grid, or trellis, data by rows and columns. Under the GRID section, add a dimension to either the row, column, or both to get small multiples of your data. This can be very powerful for understanding comparisons between dimensions:
Selections and Annotations
You can make selections in any chart by clicking and dragging across the axis you'd like to select. To annotate a chart, hold shift while clicking and dragging.
Annotations will be saved in your snapshots, however, they won't be restored when you reapply them to the canvas.
